Positioning a Weight

There are two ways to position a Shuffleboard weight ...

1) Touch the screen beneath the weight and slide your finger left and right to move the weight horizontally across the table.

2) Touch the weight and drag it around the lower part of the Shuffleboard table. Remove your finger to position the weight and the camera will then automatically adjust to make the helper arrow point straight up the screen.

Setting the Direction

To change the direction that you will shoot, touch the screen above the weight and slide your finger left and right to rotate the Shuffleboard table around the center of the weight. The helper arrow will show you what direction the weight will shoot.

Shooting

To shoot, touch the weight and slide it up the screen and then let go. Try to follow the helper arrow as closely as possible to shoot straight. You should move the weight up and down the screen a few times to practice your aim and speed before letting go. Try to slide the weight at least a third of the height of the screen with a constant speed before letting go rather than trying to flick the weight up the screen. Just follow the helper arrow as closely as possible. The arrow will always point straight up the screen so always try to slide your finger straight up the middle of the screen.

Side-Wheeling

When shooting a Shuffleboard weight in the bars, advanced players use a technique called "side-wheeling" where the third and fourth fingers of the shooting hand are extended and used to slide up and down the side of the playing surface which acts as a guide. This gives stability and accuracy to your shots. You can try using a similar technique with 10 Pin Shuffle in order to shoot more consistently. After positioning your weight for the shot, place your first finger on the top of the weight, extend your second and third fingers and slide them up and down the side of your iPhone as a guide. With a little practice, you'll be shooting like a Shuffleboard pro in next to no time.
